What makes the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine volleyball so unique. Take a look and listen to what current and former players have to say about playing in Hawaii and in front of the best fans in the country.

and the second song

Yes Hittle can redshirt, but I don’t think she will. She may very well be used for backrow duties, since she is better in the backrow than the front. I’ll send you a link to a message board that you would probably enjoy taking part in, since there is topics on UH women’s volleyball on that site.

cayley thurlby rocks!!!

teentitan619 on 8 September, 2008 at 2:13 pm #

oo….. so can hittle be redshirted so she can play next season…. or do u think she can play libero….. tell me wat u think

IconVanity on 11 September, 2008 at 3:41 am #

I don’t think Herring will redshirt. The only player that will probably redshirt next season is Hewitt. I should note that, Shoji has also said that Herring will contribute right away.

teentitan619 on 12 September, 2008 at 9:06 am #

hittle is also team captain….. so i think kanani might redshirt

IconVanity on 15 September, 2008 at 6:10 pm #

Not sure if Hittle is better than Herring. Herring has played with the U.S. Youth National Team and was the number 4 top recruit in the 2008 class.

teentitan619 on 17 September, 2008 at 5:31 pm #

i think she might be benched though….. hitle and cubi otineru are better and the y have more expirience

IconVanity on 18 September, 2008 at 8:12 am #

My guess is Herring will end up replacing Hittle, since Herring is the better player of those two and will more than likely beat Hittle and Cubi-Otineru for the Left 2 position. It will be interesting to see how everything will pan out, but, my guess, Herring makes the starting lineup.

teentitan619 on 19 September, 2008 at 8:41 pm #

hu is kanani herring replacing in the line up….. houston, otineru and hittle are the outside hitters so hu is she gonna replace.. the onli spot open is middle blocker and nickie thomas might take it so wat position is heriing gonna play?

IconVanity on 21 September, 2008 at 9:33 pm #

Can’t wait for Herring to join the Wahine.

This is such an impressive video - my daughter is a jr. high v-ball player and has played since she was 10. She was floored by the awesomeness of these women. Thank you for showing aspiring young female athletes that they can be beautiful, awe-inspiring and powerful - on the court and off.
