Cardio is awesome for fat burn…
I’ve only been running for a few weeks and the results are AWESOME! Granted I have been eating healthier and all but you said you didn’t need info on that. Good luck!

Are you 120 lbs overweight, or 120 lbs and overweight. The latter is not that overweight, so I wouldn’t recommend losing much unless you’re a 9 year old or something were 120 lbs would be considered overweight.

If you are 120 lbs overweight, There are no volleyball specific exercises that you need yet. I would worry about getting at least 80% of that weight off before I tried Plyometrics.

I know how you feel though, I lost 90 lbs on Atkins and have kept it off for about 5 years. I can jump much higher now due to my legs being strengthened by lifting my large frame for over 10 years as a player.

i no im not answering your question really but we played this team once and we were kind of cocky because they had this really overweight girl starting, but she was an amazing outside and slammed the ball in our faces and we lost miserable

Take up a second sport? I’m not one for exercises as such, and find sport a more enjoyable way of getting exercise. I have gotten back into Table Tennis again, and have taken up some cycling. I was doing too much walking, tiring me out - and getting sore feet too, so I took up cycling - which it turns out is a good option.
I do a regular hill walk on the way to volleyball. As far as eating is concerned - if you don’t eat for entertainment and comfort, and eat healthier - that should help you.
Know also that we all overeat - and as people grow older, during their adult years - it is normal for them to gain weight and with less exercise, put on even more weight.
The only way to combat it, is to do the above.

What you can do, is purchase a cheap practice volleyball, which can be used anywhere outside on any surface. 20 to 40 minutes outside in your backyard or someone’s carpark - you can spike against the wall - throw the ball up, like for a set, and go into your spike. For exercise, also do this for your other arm - that’ll come in handy - when you’re in the wrong position, or the set is wrong for you - why waste the opportunity? Go for it.. still… spike it.
With others present, you can dig, set and spike at each other — you’ll soon get to be way better than what you once were.. and all this exercise is fun!

exercise is most important. a daily jog of 1km could be good.
